There was a growing need for exceptional security at remote work sites with no quality options available to stop escalating theft and vandalism. Working out of a garage, we created a mobile, solar-powered, all-in-one security trailer from scratch that stopped theft almost immediately at a local work site. Within a year we had gone to market with a refined product, a lean staff and our own production facility.
Great ideas often have humble origins. Our first product was created by our father and son team as a summer garage product by founder, Mark Carroll, and son, Kyle Carroll. While their business has expanded and evolved, their family values have remained the bedrock of their continued success.
Mark Carroll is our founder and CEO. From a young age, he had the mindset of a tinkerer working on projects for himself, friends and with his son. Being a self-taught computer engineer, he began his career at BMW Constructors in 1989. In 1993, he started an IT consulting company and a year later worked for Prudential as an IT business analyst. After branching off as a consultant, he started the company, Digital Solutions Inc., to provide IT consulting for the construction industry. In 2000, he built the first mobile security trailer. Today, ConstructionCAM has a manufacturing and assembly facility in Crown Point, Indiana with a patented product line.
